All in all, Fabric is just a much less frustrating platform to work with and I totally understand why more and more modders are moving to it.įabric might be "better" but it divided the community between playing with all the classic major mods or you get smaller mods on fabric that do amazing things, sucks I cant use them both. Also, Forge is a lot more restrictive and makes you jump through hoops to do certain things that are very simple to do with Fabric. I know that doesn't matter much to the users of the mods, but it does a lot to the creators.

Side note about Forge vs Fabric though, Fabric is so much easier to mod in and the developers are actually willing to work with the modders rather than ridiculing them or banning them if there is a disagreement about something. I think it's because of how difficult it is to get the mod to work with the Forge code and also optifine breaks it so the mod owner has to constantly fight to get it to work on forge while it works nicely out of the box with Fabric.
